They believe that Pilates is both an Art and a Science. It is an Art because it requires ability in execution and it is a Science because it is based on a systematic theory. It is this systematic theory, with concepts and principles, that is the common thread in all approaches, traditional and evolved.

Michael and Ton worked with Romana Kryzanowska, one of Joseph Pilates’ protégés, for over 10 years in NYC where they were Teacher Trainers for her original international Pilates certification program. Since 1996, Michael and Ton have collaborated specializing in the Pilates method.

They co-own ZENIRGY, LLC. and together they created the revolutionary TRIADBALL™, TRIADBALL™ manual, two DVD lines and set up several independently run Pilates certification programs internationally. They also collaborated with a wide range of physical therapists to integrate the Pilates method into patient based therapy programs. Their TRIADBALL™ is featured in the Bulletin of NYU Hospital for Joint diseases, “Rehabilitation after Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty” a new regimen using Pilates training.

Michael and Ton have been featured on several Television program segments and have created and consulted on articles for numerous magazines like Pilates Style, Self, More and others.

Ton and Michael currently travel internationally teaching workshops, continuing education, master classes, consulting and setting up independently run certification programs.

They are devoted to the art of the Pilates method and embrace all approaches of the method. Michael and Ton believe Pilates is a concept and philosophy and the exercises are the concepts and philosophy in motion.
